Fuck mass murders and serial killers who target INNOCENT bystanders.

You’re right they don’t care about laws, but it stops them from getting the guns in the first place. James Holmes was approved for his guns despite his mental health issues in the past. As it stands the law is that gun dealers in Colorado only have to report suspicious gun purchases when it’s two or more handguns within five days. Maybe if authorities were alerted to the fact that he had just bought an AR, a shotgun, and a handgun then things could be prevented.

What about Nikolas Cruz, the 19 year old parkland shooter who purchased his AR legally, despite his disturbed mental history.

I’m confused how you don’t see an issue with any of this. We should absolutely limit the amount of guns that can be purchased, put a flagging system in place when multiple guns are purchased at once (for first time buyers), put a system in place which prevents someone from buying 3 or more guns at once, extend the waiting period on the purchase of guns so as to allow a more thorough background check, and also set up a system which prevents anyone with a psych history in their adolescents from purchasing a firearm in adult without first getting approved through a medical professional. We should also ban high capacity magazines. At least 60% of all mass shooters use a high capacity magazines.

Guns are rarely even used in self-defense anyway. Only 0.7 percent of victims of violent crimes protect themselves through gun violence, and only 0.12% of of property crimes result in the owner of said property protecting it with a gun.

This isn’t even a debate though. It’s literally a fact that countries with stricter gun laws have lower gun homicides. Nobody needs a military grade firearm, such as an AR. I’m saying this as someone from Kentucky, a state where people love guns.
