I didn't mean treat them badly. Or not well etc. Just don't begin to wimp basically. Treat them mutually but don't let it swing one sided in their favor. Which relationships very very quickly do if you let them slide like that. Girls wear the proverbial pants in like 99% of my friends relationships and marriages.

Basically treat them how you would want to be treated, but don't stand for any stupid shit. Be brave enough to put your foot down and if they can't handle that then there's the door baby.

Don't get so emotionally attached that you let them walk all over you because you are afraid to lose them.

You need to not be afraid to lose them. Otherwise you will lose to them.
