A full list of teams who have missed the playoffs with a winning record (9-7 +) since 1978

Cassel was basically as good as Brady

Strongly disagree on this one haha. At no point was cassel close to Brady’s level. Brady was getting mvp votes in 2003 with a much lead potent offense.

Cassel took one of the best offenses in history (best pts diff ever, most points per drive, etc.) and didn’t come close to performing up to the teams talent. They played one of the easiest schedules in facing the nfc and afs west who were poor at the time. Went 3-5 against teams with winning records - two wins were in the division.

Brady’s 07 rating was 117 vs cassels 89. Brady’s dvoa was 54.1% vs cassels 1.1%. Idk why but one of my favorite stats was Brady had ~17 sacks in 07 and cassel had 54 in his season - same exact o line. Shows Brady’s pocket presence I suppose.

I think with Brady at the helm, pats go 14-2 at the very least. Idk if they would go for 16-0 again. Brady is in his prime. Chance at another mvp.
