I find it funny how hard Falcom pushes Alisa on the player

My reaction's been the same since CS1 every time I anticipate Alisa will becomes a focus.

"sigh... Okay... Let's get this over with, Falcom..."

Ironically, the harder they push the further I bounce back. I just find it impossible to like this pairing, it's simply too forced. If I were to take out a checklist I could cross off all the stereotypical love interest boxes within the first minute. Aside from her relationship with her mother, I find there's little nuance to her character.

Although, that last part about characters lacking nuance rings true for many in the original class VII, and is hardly exclusive to Alisa. Gaius comes to mind. It's a problem with too many characters being the focus, it's hard to find time to explore each one.

Which is a shame, besides Machias, Gaius is a favorite for sure. I am biased though, I see spear-wielder, I worship.
