I disagree with that. What defines an animalistic feature and does liking a single animalistic feature make someone a furry? What about two or three? Does meowing like a cat make you a furry? Does drawing a cat nose on yourself for a costume make you a furry? Does putting on a cat headband and tail make you a furry?

Anime girls are cute but they're meant to be human, even if they have a tail or animalistic traits. I'd argue that it only counts as furry when the character becomes more anthropomorphic animal than an actual human. For example, if you're attracted to Zootopia characters you're a furry, if you're attracted to Lola Bunny from Space Jam you're almost definitely a furry. If you're attracted to a cute girl with a fox tail and ears then you're probably just an average person.
