The Future

I literally made the decision while applying for college.

I wanted to be a vet — I saw a vet documentary/show I didn’t want to be a vet anymore

I wanted to be a real estate agent — my brother’s an accountant and that is mad boring in my opinion. So working with money is a no.

I wanted to be a teacher — I had one classmate who was such a pain in the butt I thought “none of my teachers can handle him and I just want to punch him in the face” so no.

My interests were: dogs, fashion, hair, travelling, knitting, soccer, tea, cooking/food, idk, gaming.

Where I am now: I’m studying nursing. I really love learning about biology I really do. I love knowing things about drugs, I love poking things with needles.

I knew about the profession through seminars, research, conferences, conventions, etc. An nurse anesthetist came and talked about how there’s so many specialties you could choose and you’re 1 on 1 with the patient. I still wasn’t sure until the very end when I was choosing my college. I said fuck it and I chose it.

The more you know about different programs, the more you’ll know which one you prefer. Even then, you won’t be sure. Go to conventions, ask questions, talk to specialists, teachers, etc.
