The future of CRPGs beyond nostalgia

Holy shit is that an ignorant comment.

I hate Bethesda as much as the next guy, but you can't even compare the amount of work that goes into producing a AAA release like Fallout 4 or Mass Effect: Andromeda with some janky isometric RPG with pixelated graphics or 3D assets that look like shit.

The worst part of it is that ME:A was actualy a pretty ok game that got hated by the reddit circlejerk of "muh facial animations" and "the sjws are ruining muh games".

Actualy, the worst part of it is that most of the top hitting cRPGs don't even have a story that is well developed. Divinity and PoE are two of my favorite series, but in both games good storytelling often times takes a backseat to the "rule of cool" and allowing player shenanigans.
