You are very grossly misunderstand how AI works if you think that that's how it's going to work out. If humans ever create some kind of sentient AI then it's not gonna be because some Amazon or Google data mining AI software like Alexa just suddenly "became a real boy" (or girl). It will almost certainly be in somewhere like research lab with a super computer. But it will be for purely research purposes and sure the AI could potentially destroy the planet (or save us all or do nothing, we really have no idea) but that's not gonna be because Amazon and Google are making devices that can answer some basic questions or do basic things for you like a human.
