Futurist sees ‘the end of the world as we know it for average person’: Roey Tzezana says middle-class jobs will vanish, polarization between rich and poor will grow – and it will happen faster than you think

I think the focus should go elsewhere. If automation is replacing workers, then what’s the utility of the worker to the rich? The idea that they need paying costumers to continue to stay rich ignores the fact that if they can have everything without spending a dime they also don’t need us employed and buying things. At some point the rich only care about increasing wealth as a measure of power and for enjoyment. Well when we’re begging for them to throw us scraps they’ll feel very powerful and superior. When automated machines make what they want when they want, they’ll continue to enjoy life. The pecking order between the rich is very different to the one between the rich and the rest.

Wait for a global war where most of us go off to die for Liberty or some other buzzword. Thinning the herd will make it easier to manage for the upcoming problems.
