if the able were smarter about their use of transportation, especially in the city, then the elderly, sick, etc would easily be able to work with extremely safe, rigorous driving laws. - I agree public transportation is great- carpooling is cool- it would be so easy for busses to get around too. There are too many people driving alone, in the city, to a close destination, etc without thinking about cycling, walking, bussing, or even carpooling. If people were smarter about when/how they drove you wouldn’t hit traffic on your hundred mile drive to the mountains.

Whattt? The same maintenance would not be needed for roads if less people drove. (Gravel bikes are in!!)
