Some of you have probably already heard about this around the forum. G2A is a games retailer focused on selling cd-keys, usually at lower prices than big name distributors. They employ a referral system in order to promote their products and the aim of this post is to explain to you how it works. First of all let's talk about what the purpose of the system is. If you sign up to the G2A Goldmine, you are essentially becoming an advertiser for the company. Your job is to sell games and you get paid a % of each sold games value. The amount you get can vary from 0.5 to 2 or more euro, depending on what key you sold. To keep track of who sold what to whom, the website employs the use of referral keys. A referral key is a link generated by the website for you that tags all the people who click it with a cookie. This cookie marks them as your referrals and all transactions made by them on the website will be credited to your account. Let's make it simple. John send Mark a referral link. Mark clicks it, finds a game he likes, buys it. John gets 0.6 eurocents for bringing a customer to the site. If however Mark doesn't want to use the link and goes to the site directly, he will buy the game at the same price, but John will not be paid for the transaction. Essentially the buyer loses nothing by clicking your link and you make a small amount of money. The trick is getting people to actually buy the products. That's where all sorts of cheap marketing gimmicks come into play, but that varies from person to person. The next stage is the pyramid. Yes we have a pyramid! If you use your referral link to have someone signup to G2A and do the same thing as you do, they become part of your team. What this means is that for each payment they receive, you get a small % bonus. This does not affect their income, it is effectively a bonus for you, because they are on your team. I call it a pyramid because it has three levels, starting with you, your level 1 team, then their referrals that become your level 2 and finally level 3. What this means is that the more people work together, the more money comes to them as a group. Final stage is payment. Right now you have 2 options to spend your money. Buy games from the website or use paypal. The paypal withdraw works perfectly fine and you can use the funds as you see fit. As far as I know there is no limit to the amount of money you can make, however do not expect to become rich overnight. They are basically paying you scraps in order for them to sell their product. Recap. Simple advertisement job, payed per successful sale. Doesn't cost the customer anything. Only way to withdraw money is through paypal or purchases. Low wages. Essentially if you are looking for something to do with your time and make some spare change on the side, this could be a great option for you. It's entirely up to you how you get the clients to the website, there are no limitations, you do not have to pay anything.
