Is Gaijinpot my best bet when finding short term (3month) accommodation?

That's what was initially the plan. I was actually only going to stay for a month because the high cost of airbnb would dictate that. But then browsing Gaijinpot, I could get an apartment for 2-3 months for the same price, especially since I don't mind where I live.

Similar area (ward?), of course more expensive and more spacious, but truth be told I don't need much space. If gaijinpot works for short term foreigners, then i'd rather take cramped for 3 months than spacious for one.

That's why I posted here. Any and all advice is welcome. It'll be good to be back in Japan again though.
