You gain access to JK Rowling’s Twitter account for a day, what unnecessary details do you add the the Harry Potter storyline?

Joseph Smith was actually an evil wizard.

The golden tablets were real; he started a cult among muggles to move out west with him and essentially be his servants.

Only, the good wizards stole his mystical tablets and they waged war against the Mormons on their march west.

Unfortunately, Joseph Smith died in Illinois before his followers realized he was an evil wizard. So instead, the muggle followers kept to his version of Christianity after the charms wore off.

They moved to Utah. The wizard community figured, "out of sight, out of mind" and they were allowed to just do their thing for a couple centuries.

But there is another twist: By the 1990's the wizarding community still thinks the Mormons are a bunch of harmless muggles, except the Mormons aren't. They've always known the truth of the grifter Joe Smith as an evil wizard... That's why they built the giant 'records facility' in the side of a mountain that nobody is allowed to go into. That's why they set up missionary work all over the world to find magical objects/recruit more wizards to their cult. And that's why you see mormons spread around the world on street corners just standing around with reading materials (they are actually just waiting for informants to relay information about persons of interest/new magical objects).

They wrap themselves in the cover of a muggle religion, but really, its an international cabal of evil super-wizards who have their own wizarding school called "Granite Mountain#Granite_Mountain_Records_Vault). Its the perfect cover story!
