Galapagos by land or by cruise?

e the islands by boat. Catamaran that fit 16 guests plus crew I get sea sick very easily. I got the patch, which is over the counter and sticks behind your ear. It is effective for 3 days, stays on during showers and snorkeling.Boat was lovely, it did the long distances at night, when you were sleeping. Yes we were with the same 10 people (not every cabin was filled) but it didn't feel like a "tour". The guide was excellent, boat was small enough we could go to unique spots the bigger crafts could not access, you stepped off the boat into zodiacs or dived off directly into the water. With a trained and regulated guide, you learn so much more than just winging it on your own. Highly recommend.

Doing it by land- the distances are covered during the day and smaller boats with no stabilizers. I've seen videos of friends trips and the waves made me seasick just watching the video! A lot of it is dependent on weather, time of year and what islands you visit BUT a significant factor is boat size and the stabilizers on said boat.

A trip like this is once in a lifetime. Spend a little bit more and make sure you get it right.

Would you share the name of the company you used?
