A game about sexualizing underage schoolgirls gets cancelled on Xbox. Gamers react.

This is the exact same drama every time:

Person 1: "This game sexualizes minors"

Person 2: "They aren't real"

Person 1: "It's still wrong because the objective is to provide a sexual fantasy including children"

Person 2: "Well it doesn't hurt anyone so who cares, also insert consent laws rant here"

There it is, every argument on this topic covered.

It's like people can't put two and two together. Is real CP including real kids much worse than creepy drawings? Like, yeah, of course it is worse I personally think it'd be hurtful to victims of child sexual abuse to equate the two as equal, but that doesn't mean those drawings etc are not weird, creepy and made for pedos to get off on, and that every store has the full right to not host that content.

Anyway, for me this is the best part of this drama:

"Some purple-haired intern at Microsoft HQ convinced the higherups that the reason why PlayStation is selling well is due to Sony's Californian sensibilities"

KiA is so far down the rabbit hole they actually think the 2016 era purple-haired feminist intern from california meme is not only real but holds considerable sway in the decisions to pull games off the store. As opposed to, you know, someone thinking they don't want to host that content on their platform for the 10 people interested.
