Game thread?

  • After praising his accuracy last week, Hundley looked rough tonight. His pocket awareness was nonexistent, and he takes so long to work through his checks that either someone gets called for holding, or the receivers get locked up in coverage. I'd rather he throw the ball away than risk a pass for a pick, but I'd much rather actually... ya know... complete a pass

  • Our receivers looked rather mixed. No one really stood out to me in the first half, and our Tight Ends in particular appeared to be a little slow. Our run game was decent, but I think Monty got overworked early. Speaking of...

  • Monty needs to stay far, far away from Special Teams. He makes Trevor Davis look good. Scott kicked some absolute mortars tonight, this kid is going places

  • Josh Jackson was, more or less, the definition of a shut down corner tonight; his coverage was tight, he hawked the ball and his acceleration off the line was beautiful. I know that he has rarely played against first units, but he's been looking fucking solid in the preseason so far

  • Over all, our defense was alright. We gave up some big runs around the sides, but we looked like a brick wall for anything up the middle. Gilbert again looks like an absolute monster. Jaire "Dreamy Eyes 2.0" Alexander did a great job getting his hands on the ball tonight, hopefully he keeps it up
