GAME THREAD: Golden State Warriors (1-2) @ Oklahoma City Thunder (2-1) - (May. 24, 2016)

I'm by no means a GSW fan. I care more than anything about watching good basketball. That's why I watched Golden State this season, they were an absolute joy to watch. Games 3 and 4 have been the absolute opposite of that.

You'd think Golden State was the team in control of this series with their body language and general behavior. I see no hustle or fire, I don't see the team I saw all season. Westbrook misses a shot but he'll fight tooth and nail for a rebound or dive for a loose ball even with a 9 point lead. Steph misses a shot and he'll just backpedal on defense, no effort on the boards. If your shot isn't falling, you've gotta contribute in other ways, think Kobe in Game 7 of the finals. That's how great players and teams are consistently great.

A lot of the fans who wanted to see the Warriors crash and burn (who can blame them) are gonna feel validated and love it. I just feel cheated. This supposedly great team is gonna go out like this? The unanimous MVP is gonna give us two minutes of Steph magic over 4 games? How is that fair to the fans? I wanna see the best of the best. It's silly to feel disrespected by a bunch of millionaires playing a game, but I love basketball, and this is just shit basketball. I feel betrayed. I didn't wait all year for this.

I mean absolutely no disrespect to this OKC team. They've played incredible basketball and have earned every inch of this series and look ready to win the title. But I waited all damn year for a WCF with the best players in the conference playing their best and leaving it all on the court. If Golden State loses in 5, I can safely say they didn't empty the tank. Watching the greatest regular season team EVER go out like this just makes me angry as someone who loves the game. If you're gonna go balls out for the 73 wins and walk around with championship swagger all season and back it up all season, you have no right to do this to the fans on the biggest stage.

I can't imagine how much more frustrating it must be if you're actually a real GSW fan.
