Well technically the Queen could just do it on her alone. A lot of these rules and practices are by custom. I'm not a constitutional expert but I think the Queen can appoint anyone she wants. I believe if she appointed a Corgi though we'd probably have some sort of constitutional crisis. Or we'd just all roll with it. I think it'd be pretty dope personally.

I think the presence of the monarchy just becomes part of the scenery when you live here. I doubt many Canadians spend a lot of time thinking about the Queen every day. It's just part of the Canadian landscape like the maple leaf and terrible coffee that everyone lines up to buy every morning.
