It sucks because the widespread acceptance of these insane ideas is leading to a growing number of radicalized Alt-Right assholes who would otherwise not give a fuck about politics.

As a huge Star Wars fan, I’ve seen a shit ton of people whine about how the new movies suck for being “too woke”, often times arguing in bad faith and deliberately misinterpreting scenes in order to support their point (or ignoring how Lucas himself is similarly “woke”, to a fault).

But the OP is doing the equal-opposite; NieR Automata is one of the best games of this generation, yet it doesn’t bend the knee at the alter of wokeness enough, so they’re planning on getting a refund. All art must be propaganda for one’s own beliefs, in their mind. What a horrible headspace to be in.
