Is this game worth downloading?

I would mention that WoW, Rift, and SWTOR are similar, but I wouldn't necessarily class them as similar to Wildstart and GW2. (Not sure where FF14 fits in because I've never played it.)

The biggest difference is how combat/skill use works. WoW, Rift, and SWTOR are "second generation" where you have a wide selection of abilities and skill use (at least at the non-trivial level, i.e. group content or raiding) trends toward rotations, with theorycrafting and the meta/FOTM shifting every time a class gets tweaked. GW2 and Wildstar are what I'd term third generation (maybe 2.5): combat tends to be much more active, much more reactive, yet having a greatly reduced selection of skills. Basically, if you can play the game on a controller* - as Wildstar and GW2 are designed with this in mind - I wouldn't put it in the same class as WoW/RIFT/SWTOR.

(I should clarify play *well: anyone can laze it up when they're soloing, but I can't conceive how I could manage rapid target across 25 players as a healer in WoW, or maintaining a feral or affliction rotation on a controller. It just isn't as response as a mouse nor has enough options for controls.)
