The same way I can agree that you have a right to your opinions and comments regardless if I find them constructive. We both have our opinions. You may find mine unhelpful, as I might find yours, but we both have the right to express them.

I honestly don't understand the disconnect you are having with those two statements. What particularly is mutually exclusive with those two statements?

It is intellectually disingenuous to tell me that I must embrace another's definition of offensive on one issue because I don't find it inherently offensive so that no one is offended. Then tell me that I cannot express what I find offensive and have it be considered. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

What I mean by not needed, is that is wasn't constructive in the dialog and that President Trump did not/does not articulately express the views of those he is supposed to represent.
