Ya know, usually I can kind of get where these hot take articles are coming from, but I can't really make the connections for this one.

I will freely admit that I am a young guy, and have no earthly conceptions of what it is to be a woman and mother. I will also freely admit I've never read anything by this author before, so I have no prior experience on the quality of her work. Perhaps the article isn't meant for me, and I just can't see it because of my own biases. That's perfectly fine, but I'm going to take a swing at it.

I really don't get what the author's point is. Is it that Freya was wronged by the story in its portrayal of her motherhood in contrast to Faye? Should the game have featured a non-violent outcome where both her choices and Baldur's feelings be rendered moot? Is it saying that fatherhood is framed as more important in the story than motherhood? Should a game with like 10 characters total be expected to feature the full range of parental
