Games that "respect players' time"?

Leveling definitely does not respect your time in this game. Unless you don't care at all about knowing how your class plays at higher levels (since you can barely preview them), you'll be doing the same set of dailies every day for weeks until you get ONE CLASS to max level, and by then you'll have little to do outside of trials, raids and grinding tomes, which can be time consuming as well. If you're all about "the journey" and enjoy leveling, sure, that's great. But this person mentioned GW1 and GW2, in which both games have 95% of content designed to play after max level, and getting there is trivial. FFXIV just stretches your leveling process in every way possible and a new player should know that leveling is a major part of the "content" of the game. There's an argument that the first class is faster due to msq, but new players should also know that that consists 80% of watching cutscenes and going from point A to B on like 400 quests.
