Gaming Disorder Does Not Affect The US... Yet. W.H.O. VS A.M.A.

pretty much yes as the only real hard case you can make about "gaming" having any sort of "disorder" would fall into the lines of simple addiction. no different than any other media consumption / hobby addiction. and in terms of repercussions i think having someone addicted to the point all they want and do is sit at home playing video games all day is a hell a lot better addiction than being addicted to alcohol, drugs, gambling, extra. do some people go to far with gaming? of course. but you always have people go to far with anything and everything. if you're going to give gaming special treatment and consider it a disorder you better give those addicted to CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, and other "news" outlets a disorder as well because I think those who watch MSM end up causing more harm to society than a person sitting at home all day playing WoW and spending money collecting video game figurines.
