When I played WoW back in 2008 this happened to me! A player from a top 10 guild stepped down and joined our casual guild. For some reason he took a liking to me and started sending me stuff (yes I gave him my address) including a Wii, a $1000 gaming computer and sometimes cash. The total in gifts was probably $5000 or so. I was a waitress at the time so the gifts were very appreciated. The thing is I never heard him speak in Vent (discord) and we never spoke very much in private either. Nor did he ask for photos or anything. I did get bored of WoW eventually and I got a boyfriend and the gifts stopped. But to this day he still texts me to wish me Happy Birthday!
