You know the gaming industry is a wreck when "No Microtransactions" is a being used for marketing...

I miss the days where you bought a full game, went home and played it and that was it. What happened to that? It was so simple: I give developer money, they give me a complete game and that's it. If you want more money, you make more game, call it an expansion (fucking DLC wasn't a thing) and again that was the end of the interaction.

Compared to now it's kind of creepy honestly. Every developer seems like they want to have some kind of word, one-sided relationship with you except it's abusive and they use psychological tricks to get you to give them all of your money.

I guess I'm showing my age but I really do prefer the simpler times when multiplayer was maybe 2 people and they had to sit next to you. What happened to the times when it someone was being a jerk you could punch them in the fucking mouth?
