[Gamingbolt via Twitter] Phil Spencer: "I'm not on the stage to try and convince PC Gamers to buy an Xbox One..."

You are literally retarded. I literally said:

"If you reply one more time that people want an xbox because X, Y, Z when the fucking solution I am proposing has X, Y, Z, then I will ship you an official diagnose certified by the Metropolitano Vivian Pellas Private Hospital in Nicaragua stating that you are demented and autistic."

and now you again say:

You mean people not wanting PC's because of the simplicity of Consoles isn't a good reason?

Were it not for the simplicity of the original Nintendo I would have never got into gaming.

You would completely ignore that simplicity and say that isn't a good reason to have consoles.

The advantage is simplicity my friend.

When someone makes a game for computer, they make the game on an engine, or make the engine themselves. The engine uses shit like directx, or something. directx is some global shit that will work on any computer. if you wanna make a new computer, a new device, a CONSOLE, if you use directx than any computer will also run the game

OR you can be a greedy motherfucker that doesn't want competition because you know you lose in price, performance, etc, and you create a system based on your own version of "directx" and you don't make it available for anyone. it's fine to invent a new, maybe better "directx". what is wrong is not letting people make drivers and shit to run that system. I support open source, and free market. sony and MS made their own devices and made sure no one can run the programs, the games, these devices run.

get it? New PCs appear ALL THE TIME. New programs and new engines and new "directXs" appear all the time. New hardware appears all the time. They are still called PCs and not consoles because they are FREE (free for freedom, not costing zero $)

you can pick any hardware, any software and make a combination of any of those (well mostly. there is outdated tecnology that is no longer supported, but it's kind rare. PCI ports are backwards compatible for example, but others things arent). you can use an intel processor with an amd video card even though they are rivals. get it?

if intel made processors that didnt run with amd video cards i would be here saying the same shit... this is not pcmasterrace circlejerk. this is free fucking market. this is protecting the best interests of the customer. i dont want to use intel integrated graphics; i want to use an amd card. they dont have the right do that restriction

and sony and ms dont have the right, or better said, shouldnt be allowed to make hardware and software (console and their operating system) that doesnt run or can be used any where else. they don't have the right to make restrictions that make games only playable on their system.

that made sense when consoles and computers were very different. but today they aren't. the restriction today is artificially created, when before it was caused because consoles were something completely different.

Imagine if it happened the other way around. Since ever, every company that made computer parts made sure that they can be used with all other computer parts. every company that made games made sure the game could run in all computer parts. And then suddenly, a company appears, that makes a deal with AMD to get a custom graphic card, a custom processor, and other parts with deal with other companies, and built a system that unlike all others would only run the games that company made. Everyone would say: fuck off, we always were able to play ANYTHING WE WANTED.

The situation is the same as it is today.
