Gang break into prison and kidnap man accused of raping student - then strip him naked, drag him four miles and beat him to death.

I'm making narrow references about the Third Wave.

I've had mixed experiences when speaking to feminists about their own views on subjects which are arguably not their territory. If you want me to elaborate, I will, but it's irrelevant to the question at hand. As with everything, it's a mixed bag, and the negatives weigh heavier on the mind than the positives.

I feel that there's confusion for some people about what feminism actually means. There are men and women who genuinely wish to represent women and advocate for their rights, but it's often easier for those who don't to apply themselves to the feminist movement because they see it as approachable or something that serves as a means to make themselves look better, or worse to further their own twisted or alternative ideals that have little application to the rights of women.

My problem with this generation of feminists lies squarely at the creeping and unfair advances towards a mainstream idea of 'equality' being presented in a feminist shade. Feminists, by definition, only fight for the rights of women. That's good. That's normal. Men's rights, or masculism, are supposed to be the complimenting frequency and together they strike up some form of equilibrium.

I don't feel that that's happening. That bothers me, as a man and as a future father. We should be able to help our own without stepping on each others' toes, or another party interjecting because they wish for their own ideals to apply outside of their party.

This is opinion. Feel free to disagree with me. Posting on mobile is hell.

TLDR: Feminism doesn't mean the belief in equality, it means that you are taking a stance for women's rights. There are a lot of gung-ho youths that are jumping on the feminist bandwagon and pushing narrow minded, sometimes sexist beliefs into the limelight. This doesn't mean that Feminism is bad, but the loud, ignorant individuals that push misguided or irresponsible ideas are a problem.
