Hi OP! I had surgery with Dr. G on Wednesday 12/23. Typically with Jackson-Pratt surgical drains, physicians look for less than 25ml of fluid per drain, per day before removing them. This is a generic baseline, not Dr. G’s! My experience: Day of surgery I l started off with 25ml in my drains on the first day and now on day 3 I’m looking at less than 10ml/per drain. I believe the 5 days is his standard because he wants to preserve his intended tissue sculpting as much as possible, swelling would potentially impact that. I have post op on Monday and will have had a full five days, but I feel you’ll be just fine with three days my friend. I was able to raise enough money to stay here for 10 full days, and my partner and I will depart on Wednesday 12/30. Go forth with confidence family!

Ps. Don’t strip the drains. It’s tempting af, but he says not to for a reason. Best wishes and congratulations!
