Gateacre Computer repairs, the good and the bad.

Seriously ? you are still trying to get out of doing a bad job? funnily enough after now completing the work myself I have found even more incompetence on your part that I never even noticed at the time. seeing as you have brought up a old issue ill be glad to now share that as well and you are very lucky I haven't bothered raising a complain to get money back off you. But honestly I dont even want to have to deal with your god awful company ever again after finding these further issues.

The first pc was indeed a motherboard fault and had a long delay on a replacement, the part the company missed off is the fact that

1, The company refused to install the new motherboard after I got a replacement.( stating they was unable to test it) even after I specificaly asked that I didnt care about testing as I could do that myself I just didnt want the hassle of wiring it all up again.

2, (discovered last month when I finally got around to finishing the work myself) the sata port on my SSD has been snapped off rendering it now useless.

3, The windows product key I received (and paid 36 pounds for) would not work, from the official windows site used to download the installation software it stated that the product key had already been used as a pre installed software.

4, My HDD was also corrupted and in any case would never have been usable again, again something the company failed to enlighten me to.

So now, not only did the company fail to fix my computer but they also charged me for a product I never actually received and on top of that broke my 64gb SSD costing around another 40 pounds and failed to inform me of a broken HDD.

As for the second load of pc parts, I have explained numerous times it was found outside my old house when I was moving out, I had no idea of its condition, the company failed to product test a single part of it and simply stated the power supply was too weak to run the pc?

Well funnily enough after my own testing I found that every single part of the PC bar the cpu ( I broke when taking it out) was actually working perfectly !! the only problem stopping the unit from working was a broken power lead from the case to the pc itself !!

so it turns out that the company actually did a worse job than I originally thought, they not only broke some of my equipment, they sold me fake or used goods, and on top of that failed to diagnose a simple fault that I then had to do myself.

So now ill change my recommendation from, they may be a great software company but should at no point ever touch hardware...to avoid at all costs, shady work and the length they go to to try cover their mistakes is just beyond belief.
