Gates ups pandemic funds to $250 million, says Trump WHO move makes 'no sense'

I feel like this is really a major gesture except when you have read the fine print in that the company which produces this is required to make it available to the world for free.

And it's divided, I believe, 12 ways to 12 different companies/organizations.

So, that's like $20.8 million to give it away for free or...be one of the many multibillion dollar pharmaceutical companies and make it and sell it for billions. Pfizer, for example, makes like $1.8 billion, annually, just on Viagra. Imagine how much they make on a vaccine for this pandemic? Imagine Pfizer's budget and strategy vs some start-up with a $20.8 million dollar budget.

The math here is that Bill Gates will invest his money to try but there will be a clause which says they can return the money $20.8 million, and sell it big pharma, or, if there is no backout clause, they'll pretend they never found it, dissolve the company (and the liability), and then reform and sell it to big pharma. In the end, big pharma, statistically, will be the ones to find and market a vaccine. And they won't be giving it to India and Africa for free.
