If the officials let questionable situations play out instead of whistling it dead, won't it inevitably lead to players who are standing around getting wrecked because of no whistle? How is a player supposed to know what to do now that any borderline hit is flagged as a personal foul? If Golladay tackled the player that picked up the ball and ran it back 91.4 meters, wouldn't he have been flagged 95% of the time for excessive roughness?
