Gazzetta reports interogation between Lukaku and Italian discipline committee on the fight that accured during the Coppa Italia game between Milan and Inter 26/1: "I was not racially abused by Zlatan" Lukaku says

You were suggesting I don't understand the word intersectionality. That word was literally invented by Kimberlee crenshaw in the paper i reference above. In 1989. Who is it that doesn't understand the term again?

She coined a term to describe the "simultaneity of oppressions" concept already used by the Combahee River Collective over a decade earlier. You also said "identity politics (based on ideas of intersectionality dating back to Kimberle crenshaws mapping the margins in 1989)" - identity politics were not 'based on' the idea of intersectionality, it's precisely the other way around, and identity politics is something developed much earlier as already described.

You cannot be suggesting that the erosion of class struggle and replacement by identity struggle from the late 70s onwards -- as you correctly affirm for me, thanks -- came from the working class that is very clearly the group most rejecting identity politics today.

I don't think it, I know it because it's what happened, which you would also know if you knew anything about the subject lol. Crusades against identity politics are almost exclusively spearheaded by rich conservative careerists, this is plain to see, and has always been the case i.e. backlash against the spectre of "political correctness" throughout the 90-00s. You're also suggesting class struggle has been replaced by 'identity struggle' (idk what this means), as if class struggle has ended when it clearly hasn't

were the white men in those working class communities in the 1970s being told they don't have problems because they are privileged?

Intersectionality was the combination of class and identity politics anyway, there would always have been an understanding that white working class people were still working class primarily. There are countless examples of class struggles against racism and other bigotries - the KKK used to put up posters about communists being dangerous because they helped black people, the LGBT community backed the miner's strike in 1985 and got their support in return, unions would strike to support workers that had been racially abused etc.
