bold is already clinched by virtue of tiebreaker, not points
italics means we don’t control our own destiny

Magic numbers are the combination of points won by the Blues or lost by the relevant team that would guarantee the Blues the milestone. For example, any combination of the Blues winning or Nashville losing 11 points would guarantee the Blues first place in the Central Division. Now this takes the simplified view that the Blues play all their remaining games against some arbitrary Team A and Nashville plays all their games against some other Team B and teams A and B aren’t competing against us in the standings (like if all remaining games were against Eastern Conference teams). This is obviously untrue. This is why the relevant teams for each milestone can change and why our magic number might not necessarily decrease by two when a relevant team loses.

Tonight's Games Best Case Worst Case
@ win win
@ win win
@ win win
@ win win

These best case/worst case scenarios are set to get the Blues the Presidents' Trophy. If we look just to win the division, gain home ice, exclude certain teams from the playoffs and/or avoid certain matchups, the scenarios may be different.

Games we couldn’t give two shits about omitted (generally when neither team can catch us).

All wins in regulation unless:
“win*” means win in OT/SO
