Flame my opinion all you want, I'm at peace with losing in regulation at this point. I'm not rooting for us to lose and I'm still going to cheer whenever we have sick plays but being mathematically eliminated sort of flicked a switch in my mind.

The Jets aren't currently constructed to win many games. We have significant players out for the rest of the season with injuries. We have a shaky goaltending tandem and Hellboy's down on the farm. We don't have a captain. Stuart's back. Our penalty kill is poop and our powerplay is certified doodoo.

At this point I just want to see a goddamned powerplay goal and a shutdown game on the PK. If we play hard and lose from lapses in 5 on 5, so be it. Maybe we can learn some thangs and adjust but hey maybe we just didn't have the bounces. Whatever the case may be, I just want to play with some dignity. It's tough to demand a win when your young team looks decimated so I just want us to develop good habits and compete. Fuck going to OT and losing because I don't want the useless point in the standings. Furthermore, I want everyone to have a productive off-season in terms of recovery and training.

I would love for us to shock the central division soon. Didn't Dallas just go from being a Central basement dweller to the top? I'm just a fan but I feel we have something special here to build upon. Chevy doesn't mess around with drafting because that's seriously his entire schtick, draft & develop. We shit the bed this season so why not reap the rewards? Draft picks could turn into absolutely nothing but we could also swish that shit from half court and land impact players. Add Kyle Connor to the mix and our youth movement looks pretty promising.

2019 is the year yo. Book it, we're winning the Cup. Imagine our players and picks being 3 years more developed and familiar with the NHL game. As long as the Jets avoid setbacks and continue to fine tune and mature, there's a serious chance we can make a big splash in the playoffs. I'm also assuming we part ways with Pavelec and trim the fat on our roster. Chevy pls.

TLDR; cool story brooo
