Why is gender more important than sex?

A male does not have his reproductive choices scrutinized.

Males get shamed for not having children plenty. If a male does not seek heterosexual relationships or any relationships or wishes to not have children, there’s a good chance they get a ton of shit from it. Also vasectomy seekers get pushback from physicians too.

Now, do males have their reproductive choices scrutinized to even a close level of females? I doubt it, but to say it never happens at all with phrasing so vague as that is just shooting yourself in the foot. Everyone had their reproductive choices scrutinized to some extent, even if just by their parents. The difference as you pointed out is in the systematic scrutinization and legal overreach.
