Gender pay gap in modelling industry sees women earn 75% more than men

Somebody said "where's the equality" in a tongue in cheek way about a profession wholly unrelated to being a CEO. You go all strawman about feeling bad for men in general because they can be CEOs.

But most men can't. Genetic lottery? How many CEO's of a fortune 500 are 6'0" or taller? How few are black? That entire world is brutal to many classes of individuals, especially women. I agree. But throwing aside everybody else because this marginally small subset of careers available to men are not available to women? No sympathy for that line of reasoning.

Also, if you're worried about EMEA and APAC partners, you might want to focus your attention toward the social problems of THOSE countries, not bemoan the privilege of the part of the world that is actually trying to achieve some semblance of equity.

The world is built on this inequity. I'm highly skilled in my profession, but I moved to an East Asian country to try my hand at things in a very different experience, and I am, quite literally, systemically and institutionally oppressed. My opinions mean less to many people in my industry explicitly due to my race, so I understand what you're saying.

Perhaps instead of trying to tear people down for their perceived advantages, you should build bridges to bring yourself up to their level.
