General Discussion - July 26, 2022

Unfortunately quality control seems generally loose these days, especially with fast fashion. A New Day is a Target brand I like, however my expectations are low, especially at that price point. I bought 2 midi slip skirts in a similar fabric early in the summer, 1 coral first and 1 black a week or so later. I think they cost $22 each. I love the vibe, the almost-perfect fit and how they look on me. I don't love the imperfect seams and the fabric texture, especially of the coral one. I've worn them A LOT and they're flattering on my postpartum body, and for me they're good enough to be summer staples. They're mass-produced and I know if I paid more I'd get likely better quality. I do, however, have another A New Day skirt from 4+ years ago that I LOVE, get lots of compliments on has exceeded quality expectations. That is a 100% cotton skirt, though. I guess it's a bit hit or miss and you can't always expect consistency, unfortunately.
