There's nothing wrong with a male OBGYN. My experiences with doctors/OBGYNs/...

My first ever woman OBGYN took 3 hours to get into (in a waiting room, even if you had an appt of course) and then told me sexual pain was only caused by two people being incompatible in size. I then decided eff this and decided to only go to my male doctor for the regular check up stuff like pap smears and all that. It was great and he was WAY more gentle and very respectful. I told him about some of my sexual issues and he said I should go see a specialist as he didn't have enough experience in that (although he did predict the problem and was right.)

I ended up going to a different woman OBGYN and the experience was ATROCIOUS. She hurt me badly with the examination and was extremely aggressive but correctly diagnosed me with a sexual pain disorder (vaginismus). She told me I should stretch myself and VEGETABLES work well. WTF? I asked her about dilators (since I had read about them online) and she had no idea what I was talking about.

That traumatized me for awhile, but a year later I decided to go see a different woman OBGYN who had great reviews online. SHE WAS AMAZING. She was shocked at what the other doctor said to me and gave me TONS of options on how to help my issues.
