General discussion of all of DC's current shows

OH MAN LOTS OF THOUGHTS

The last episode of The Flash was my favorite yet. The Flash is one of my favorite DC Comics adaptation, especially this season. It has incredible CGI effects. King Shark blew Gorilla Grodd out of the water, and that only has me excited for the next Grodd episode. The Arrow Universe has come a long way. It started off all gritty and real, but now we've got wormholes to other worlds and shark-men and the confirmation that Atlantis exists somewhere. The Flash really doesn't shy away from some of the zanier elements of its source material. It's introduced great new characters like the real Wells, Kendra, Patty, Jay, Jax, and Jesse. It's had a few good twists. I didn't expect Doctor Light to be Linda Park, we still don't have a clue who Zoom is or why he wants to be the only speedster, and Wells is shady as all hell and might have some serious ulterior motives. Plus, Wells is just great. He's a dick and I hate him so much and I love hating him.

Arrow so far, a lot better than the second half of last season. Oliver, Diggle, and Thea have some sweet new threads and a cool new lair. I like that Oliver is running for mayor, but I'm not sure how they'll get drama from that storyline if he's running unopposed. Could be that Darhk runs for mayor and Oliver has to fight him as both Oliver Queen and the Green Arrow. There's something going on with Darhk and the Ghosts, like why the Ghosts are missing half their DNA markers (or something) or why one had the oppurtunity to shoot Diggle point blank but opted not to even though Darhk is activly sending assassins after Team Arrow or why they're so willing to fight for whatever Darhk's cause is. And I love Darhk. Such a great performance. I'm loving him more than Ra's al Ghul and Merlyn.

I'm upset that Constantine's over. Constantine and Almost Human are my Firefly. I think the part that hurts the most is that there's this HUGE section of a universe that's just not going to be explored anymore. I mean, Arrow is doing magic this season and Legends of Tomorrow has the Hawks, but it would still be a bit of stretch for someone like the Spectre waltz into Star City or STAR Labs. The door to seeing characters like Eclipso, Zatanna, Neron, Etrigan, Madame Xanadu, Klarion, Jakeem and the Thunderbolt, Deadman, the Phantom Stranger, Andrew Bennett, and Looker might be closed, at least partially.

iZombie is great, too. I wish that they would introduce the other cryptids from the comic, like ghosts and vampires and were-terriers, but where they're going with the show is fine, too. It feels the most light-hearted out of DC's current tv shows. It has a lot less viewers than The Flash or Arrow, so I don't know if it'll continue after this season.

I absolutely want Supergirl to have a pro-feminist message, I just don't want it done with the subtlety with a brick to the face. The season episode was better than the first, but it's literally only been two episodes so we'll see how it goes. From the parts of him that are shown in the trailer, it doesn't look like they're cleaning up Red Tornado with CGI. It seems like they're just gonna film him as is which is a shame because he looks fucking terrible. And I'm looking forward to Livewire. I marathoned Superman: The Animated Series earlier this year and Livewire, Metallo, and Volcana have a special place in my heart. I'll at least keep watching til the mid season and see if I wanna continue from there. The fight between Supergirl and Astra looked pretty bad. I wanted them to land and just super speed at each other, but if you have two Kryptonians fight, they pretty much have to do it in the air, right? Also, I'm borderline hating this interpretation of James Jimmy Olsen.

I've never read Preacher but the trailer has me interested. I'll try to read it before the show comes out.

I'm hoping that Legends of Tomorrow blows my mind out of my fucking skull and into outer space.

I'm not watching Got Ham. :/

Hey DC, make a Princess of Gemworld cartoon.
