General rule of thumb: If a mob tries to stop your car, don't stop your car

It's easy to think how you would act when sitting at your computer in the safety of your home but it's different in the moment. I've been in the situation before, it's scary because you are sitting down and not in a position to defend yourself. You only just arrived and have no idea how peaceful violent they are but they are clearly worked up, shouting and single out your car. You don't really have a chance to take another route because you don't realise they are going to stop you until you are too close to turn around.

In my situation it was just a bunch of young people at a beach party, one of them had been injured and they wanted a lift to a hospital. Outside of the situation its easy to say "well sure that seems perfectly reasonable, ofcourse I would drive someone to the hospital." But in the actual moment it's very different because you don't know what's going on or if they are telling the truth.

When it happened to me, I slowed down to stop and a few of them moved around to the sides of the car, one was telling me about some guy with a broken arm but others were trying to open my car doors without even asking me. They were all drunk and worked up with mob mentality (you know what some guys are like when are drunk and get hyped up and try to take charge of a situation but handle it badly). I didn't know WTF is going on, there were way too many worked up people all around my car trying to get in and the guy who was apparently injured was nowhere to be seen.

When they tried to open my doors I just noped the fuck out of there because they had moved around to the sides of the car. I drove about 500m up the road then stopped and called the police/ambulance. I don't know what I would have done if people were still in front of my car when they started to try and open doors. I imagine it would be even worse in a situation with an angry crowd even if they are peaceful.
