Genetically engineered rice needs less fertilizer, makes more food

no. im an economist. so i will help you understand it. so when economies of scale become the priority in a world that has asymmetric food supplies (i.e. some economies throw out a lot of food and some economies don't have enough food) it means there are distortions in the mechanism of distribution.

so when food production decisions are made using economies of scale as a primary factor then a lot of issues arise with factory farming, animal abuse, food that is less nutritious, food waste and thats bad when other decisions could produce healthier food in a way that does not torture animals or put small local farmers out of business. does that help. do you need links?
