Genetics Public Service Announcement re; 'Lewontins Fallacy'

Khan is controversial because he places his beliefs in front of the science. He's a great pop-science writer, but he does a good amount of cherry picking and ignoring of evidence to stand on some of the views he does.

Do you have an example of where he has ignored evidence that contradicts his statements?

It's also important to note that he's not a 'respected geneticist', he's currently a graduate student finishing his PhD in feline population genetics. He's certainly well educated, but he's far from 'rocking the field' or anything like that.

My father was a mere graduate student finishing up his PhD when he did his most groundbreaking work which permanently cemented him as an important figure in microbiology and genetics research, so I don't find this to be a legitimate critique.

I'm not trying to refute the post of his you linked because it's not a refutation of anything I'm saying

Sure it is. The first myth that he shatters in the piece that I linked to is "Because most genetic variation occurs within races, two random individuals from different races may be genetically closer than two random individuals from the same race." This is the exact claim that you are attempting to argue in favor of in this thread. Even the

As for these 'constant clarion calls', I'm pretty sure you don't know what you're talking about, though feel free to link something.

I shouldn't need to convince you that research into genetics and race is extremely taboo, but here's a Nature article about it and other taboos in genetics. Here's an op-ed in favor of banning research on race and IQ.

in Watons old age, he developed some untenable beliefs

Watson's beliefs are far from untenable, they are backed up by all available evidence. All attempts to discredit him have been devoid of evidence and ripe with scurrilous ad-hominem attacks and moralistic fallacy. Your beliefs on the other hand stand in stark contradiction of the available evidence, yet they are unwavering.
