I disagree with him but I don't think it's an unreasonable thing to conclude if you're already deeply sceptical of the Chinese government - this is what their govt was saying very early on into the pandemic don't forget. I have no idea how fast the scientific process should work on this kind of thing (let's be right neither does Perin) but it's not like the Chinese government are at all trustworthy or transparent.

And then from there it isn't a huge leap to conclude that the WHO aren't exactly trustworthy either; provided that the Chinese government exerts influence over it and the WHO were saying the same things as the Chinese govt as to its whereabouts, then it's easy for an outsider to be sceptical of that.

It definitely isn't worth losing his place in the squad or anything like that for this - it's definitely a controversial opinion but it doesn't harm anyone so fair play for being brave enough to come out with it.
