Why is somebody who bashes feminists automatically a conservative? I consider myself a moderate leftist but, while I agree that everyone should be given an equal opportunity, I think. feminists often shoot themselves in the foot. I don't think it's a problem with the ideology, but there are some people who hear the word "feminism" and run off to conduct themselves in a way that makes everybody look bad. Because of that, I can't really fault people like in the OP.

Honestly this sub is a prime example of why even a moderate conservative can come to hate the left. You guys are supporting the "my team against theirs" mentality that makes it very difficult to have any real political discourse. I thought it was a novel idea at first, but holy moly you guys are just trying to stir the pot. You preach tolerance, but your attitude towards people expressing an opinion that differs from your own is frankly disgusting. I'm on board with laughing at out-of-touch politicians, but after seeing so many posts and comments like this, I'm out. I'm sure none of you will miss me, but maybe some of you will take a step back and think about how pretentious you're being.
