George Pell conflates secularism, atheism; says the religious are better at dealing with stress.

Juries make mistakes regularly, and so do courts of appeal

Yes they do, and they failed spectacularly. How can a failure in our judiciary be just? No one is opposing justice, you read the judgments? Claiming the jury didn’t entertain reasonable doubt because of the assessed credibility and reliability of the witness, when the actual decision they came too, supported the conclusion that it was considered. Then Arguing the legal test was misapplied precluding an open jury standard, to overrule and acquit an (appeal supported) unanimous guilty verdict.

The high court ruled on a procedural legal technicality, not his guilt or the jury’s decision. And they were right to do it under Australian Law.

But claiming this is ‘justice’ is bullshit.

go after child rapists like Roman Polanski and Jimmy Page.

Good idea, then we should go after *all *child rapists
