If you're implying that I am suggesting we undo the 2nd Amendment I'll point out that it wasn't written into the 2nd Amendment that every tom dick and harry can have a gun. That wasn't decided until Miller, Cruikshank and D.C. v. Heller. So you can either be an originalist and adhere to Hamilton's words in Federalist No. 29 when he said he did NOT believe that every tom dick and harry should be part of the militia, that not everyone is qualified to take up arms, OR you had better accept EVERY decision the Supreme Court makes including when Scalia said in Heller that the 2nd Amendment is NOT immune to restriction.... like any other right.
