Remember no matter how corrupt the pope , cardinals, bishops, priests etc are JESUS CHRIST said his church would not prevail against hades

The pope is an accomplice to sin, something like a third of the episcopate and priesthood are homosexuals, many of them pushing for the overthrow of Divine Law, the venerable ceremonials of the Apostolic liturgy has been raped into people casually strolling through the sanctuary to the lectionary to read (not chant, as was the normative custom for the past thousands of years coming out of a synagogue liturgy) from the Scripture... in my estimations, yes, it has prevailed.

The problem with this whole "gates will never prevail" promise is that it's totally and utterly subjective. Neither Jesus nor his Apostles give any actual criteria as to how we are to objectively tell what it means. Protestants believe this. Eastern Orthodox believe this. Orientel Orthodox believe this. Everyone believes this about themselves precisely because it is an insanely subjective claim to make.

And, in my estimations as to what has happened today, and for the past few years, it has prevailed -- well, rather, it demonstrates the promise was all never there in the first place.

Can't believe it any longer. I'm sorry, but I can't. It seems like scandal after scandal it's just cope after cope. People repeat "gates of hell shall not prevail" over and over and over. What will happen in 50 years when blessing same sex couples in Europe is the norm, and Francis' successors have all remained silent (or given the green light) over it because it's not technically the Sacrament of Matrimony? Will people keep repeating it over and over? What if they then ordain women? "Oh man, well the promise is still there. I know the Church approves of same sex blessings and women in the priesthood now, but a promise is a promise, right guys?"

I'm sick of coping with it by telling myself that.
