Germany Considers Fining Facebook $522,000 Per Fake News Item

As we have seen, they have found a way around this. I first noticed it with Fox news but now everyone does it.

"Some people say..." all they do is get one department to talk about something then the other department talks about it like it's legitimate. With news not caring anymore, they have started being a source themselves. I can get you 10 people(verified) that say they think Trump is going to launch a nuke the day he gets in, BAM, we got news!!! Or no, we have bullshit "fake news" but now with "verified sources." Do you punish lying sources??? Will that cause a few of publishing news??

How do you "verify" the source is not full of shit or just like most people - not 100% knowledgeable, especially with people saying shit like "we are fairly sure","we strongly feel that","it seems as"... Are you going to eliminate all news that is not 100% stated as fact and 100% provable(thats not how life works in most cases)? No more opinions, only 100% verified facts? Shit, they can no longer do the fuckin weather any more then. How the fuck are you going to verify each individual source is a fact, that alone is a massive job?

If this was the rules, then NOTHING could be said about "Russian" and this election at the moment. Actually a lot of gevernment related "new" would no longer be allowed" Do you think we should be allowed to know about that or not? That is potentially massive news, but would be silenced now because no one can verify a source. Also, we would have never heard about Snowden because he was the only source and you say 2?

TL;DR: I think that rule would not accomplish much OR cost you news that is actually very important. Also, Sometimes we need to know things that are not 100% verified.
