Germany: Immigrants made up over 18% of 2022 population – DW

Well i can tell you my story. I came here, faced so much bullshit and ridicule from my name, my face, my accent to my country of origin ("all your women are for sale, amirite lol?") and I learned the damn language up to C2, I worked my ass off for so many years, I dated German women and hung out with their parents, I have mostly german friends, I watched the horrific Tatort show and I understand the retarded humor of Helge Schneider, I read classic literature in German. Companies would not hire me, so I worked horrific jobs for a while, together with Turkish men with no education but an iron will, who grind in the factories for decades, supporting their kids going to university and shit. Blue collar life is full of tragedies, but 99% of Redditors wouldn't know what it's like sitting 8 hours at the conveyor belt, sorting metal fragments

Then I see all these fuckheads from my country who come here, who make zero effort to understand the local culture or language, have sometimes free cash coming in and still complain. Yeah immigration fucking sucks, buddy, you gotta put in the work, it is not gonna work if you sit on your ass

In my time there were less programs and financing for immigrants and I still made it to a masters degree and a decent job, had to fist fight a few skinheads along the way, so yeah lazy immigrants, they annoy the fuck out of me
